04/16/2010 - The J Street Companies Announce New HIres in Property Management and Asset ManagementPaul Davis and Lisa Wiersma Add Depth to Services Team
For Immediate Release- Washington, DC-April 16, 2010 – The J Street Companies today announced the appointments of two new senior managers as the Company strengthens and expands its Property and Asset Management capabilities. Paul Davis, with more than 25 years of property operations experience in the Washington, DC area, has been named a Vice President of Property Management in J Street’s Woodmark affiliate and will take immediate responsibility for Woodmark’s property management assignment for The Pew Charitable Trusts building at 901 E Street, NW. Lisa Wiersma, with more than 12 years of experience in real estate development and finance, has been hired as Corporate Finance Manager and will support the companies’ service platform, including brokerage, development and property management with financial analysis and modeling as the company continues to grow.

Paul Davis comes to J Street after three years at Carr Realty Partners (CRP), where he oversaw a 3.8 million square foot portfolio, launched top business practices and programs, transitioned properties to their platform and was responsible for hiring and managing dozens of operations employees. Prior to Carr Realty Partners, Mr. Davis served in a number of roles at national real estate investment trust, CarrAmerica Realty Corporation, where he shouldered responsibility for a 10 million square foot portfolio in the Washington metropolitan area including the oversight of eight business centers with 55 properties, led underwriting activity on over one million square feet of acquisitions and managed all of the company’s third party client relations.
Lisa Wiersma most recently worked for four years at Lowe Enterprises, managing development and operations for CityVista, an award-winning, $240 million, one million square foot mixed-use project in downtown Washington, DC. Prior to Lowe Enterprises, Ms. Wiersma served at Concord Partners, where she managed the varied real estate needs of multiple institution, non-profit and association sector clients. Her accomplishments include negotiating legal documents with public and private partners, project managing all aspects of real estate development, including the $75 million Shakespeare Theatre and conducting financial modeling for all aspects of building development and operations. Lisa is certified as LEED AP and is a member of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) DC.
