WOODMARK SIGNS EDUCATION DEVELOPMENT CENTER TO 18,412 SQUARE FEETAT JEFFERSON COURT IN GEORGETOWN 

For Immediate Release – Washington, D.C. – May 10, 2010 – Woodmark Commercial Services today announced the signing of Education Development Center, Inc. to a 10-year deal for 18,412 square feet at Jefferson Court at 1025 Thomas Jefferson Street, NW in Georgetown.  Jefferson Court is leased and managed by Woodmark Commercial Services. 

Built in 1984, Jefferson Court is a 316,000 square foot office building located steps from the Potomac River and all of the amenities of Georgetown.  The project features twin courtyards landscaped with fountains and seating areas, a new tenant-only fitness center and shuttle service to Metro.  Woodmark Commercial Services is continuing to lease office space at the project,  including 80,000 square feet of contiguous space,  featuring private terraces and river views.  Woodmark is also providing, through affiliate J Street Development and Development VP, Colleen Scott, project construction management services to EDC for the buildout of their space. 

Woodmark Principal, Geoff Kieffer, commented, “EDC adds to a distinctive tenant roster including the headquarters of the Urban Land Institute, the law firms of Brickfield Burchette Ritts & Stone and Jorden Burt.”
