John Protopappas
John Protopappas brings decades of experience in land use planning, land sales and development to J Street’s growing land division.
John began his real estate career 35 years ago for companies and organizations including Maryland National Park and Planning Commission, Montgomery County Department of Transportation, the Washington, DC Office of Planning, Stanley Martin and Turner-Harwood. Best known for his role in co-founding Fraser Forbes, John is one of the most highly respected land sales brokers and developers in the Washington metropolitan area. At Fraser Forbes, John was Principal Partner, involved in land sales and acquisitions, commercial property brokerage and financing and consulting services to builders, developers and financial institutions. He is a popular speaker, having lectured on land use related topics at George Washington University, Southern Maryland Building Industry Association, University of Maryland and Catholic University. John holds a Master’s Degree in City and Regional Land Planning from Catholic University.
